The Little Things Newsletter #338 – Life, laughter, and lots of great food!

Welcome to the weekend, friends! It’s been rainy and drizzling all morning and I’m loving it so much. I know that many people are far less excited than I am for the inrush of winter, but it’s nonflexible to contain my excitement some days. While I don’t love the unprepossessed as much as I love fall and spring, the waffly of the seasons remains one of my very favorite things well-nigh living in Ohio.

ON THE BLOG this week: Coconut Lovers be warned, this coconut rice krispie treat is going to star in your supplies daydreams for years to come. I venerate coconut and I moreover LOVE a unconfined rice krispie treat, so this combination is pretty much my idea of snacking perfection.

Who doesn’t love a quick and easy recipe full of linty ricotta and spinach, tucked into jumbo pasta shells and smothered in marinara sauce?

The smooth linty texture of brown sugar ice surf with its rich caramel, toffee-like savor makes this the perfect ice surf to take me into fall.

Rich, chewy fudge brownies filled with melting Andes mints and plenty of chocolate fries are pixie perfection.

For a side dish that checks all the boxes, smokey, sweet, savory, and salty, serve these caramelized carrots with bacon.

Light and fluffy, veritably Perfect Pancakes are a recipe that everyone needs to have in their pocket. I’ve been making this pancake recipe for as long as I can remember and every single person who has tried these pancakes has loved them.

With all the flavors of pumpkin pie stirred into a linty trencher of oatmeal, this quick and easy Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal is our favorite fall oatmeal.

This Date Nut Roll brings me directly when to my childhood. I remember watching my grandpa roll this on the kitchen counter every holiday when we visited.

What I’m CRAVING: This Thanksgiving Charcuterie Board by Modern Honey might be the prettiest themed workbench I’ve overly seen. I want this for a holiday centerpiece now.

My FAVORITE THINGS this week are these paper liners for the air fryer basket. I’m unrepealable my friend Sandra is reading this and laughing herself silly considering I admittedly thought they were a bit “extra” and couldn’t possibly be worth ownership when she first told me well-nigh them.

Well, I’ve had to eat those words, considering I tried them and it’s so very nice not to have to scrub my much-loved air fryer each time I use it to warm something up for lunch. I’m hooked on them now.

What I’m LISTENING to: AJR. I stumbled on AJR’s song “Bang” a while when and this fun youtube video on how they came up with all of it. AJR is a very likable group of three brothers who started out busking in NY. Their music just plain makes me happy when I hear it. I love to zombie it when I’m editing photos or working in the kitchen.

“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not requite up.” Galatians 6:9 ESV

Wishing you a trappy week full of little things that make you smile!
