Let's be real: We'll take any opportunity to fire up the grill and eat outdoors, but our preferred 4th of July foods go far beyond hot dogs. Still, we're not sticking with the usual red, white, and blue fruit platter either. This year, we're doubling down on icy cold drinks, crunchy-crisp slaws, and plenty of refreshing salads to celebrate all the peak-season produce (including plenty of fruit). After all, whether you're staking out a park picnic table, shady patio, or rickety fire escape, nothing makes a celebration feel festive like quite like snacks.
